Bundle and warranty

Understated packaging, for once.

Items Quickstart guide (English-language only)
Tomb Raider Anniversary full-game DVD
DVI dongle
6-pin PCIe-to-dual-Molex adapter
S-video cable
HDTV (component) cable

Inno3D adds in a reasonable package with this non-iChiLL card. Having a full game is nice, and the 10th anniversary edition of Tomb Raider will stretch the card's rendering capabilities with the image-quality settings maxed out.

We reiterate that the bundle ships with a BIOS that overclocks this card further up to 702/1674/2000MHz frequencies. We wonder just how many regular users would be comfortable with flashing their brand-new card's BIOS and bringing potential warranty claims into play? Inno3D will cover cards that have been flashed correctly, though.

Warranty

The Inno3D GeForce 8800 GT has a two-year warranty that's handled through the retailer - so make sure to pick a retailer that you trust will be around for the duration.

Inno3D states that retailers will replace any defective cards that are still under warranty directly from their own stock. However, as Inno3D has no centralised European hub, any stock shortages will necessitate shipping from Hong Kong, which can inevitable delay.

Pricing

At the time of writing, the pricing of the package was around Ā£185, making it one of the more expensive GeForce 8800 GT 512MiBs around. That kind of makes sense once the clockspeeds are factored in, we suppose.
