Memory Performance

One of the key improvements for the X99 platform is the introduction of DDR4 memory. Higher default speeds mean lots of juicy bandwidth, and we can assume the Core i7-5960X's extra cores provide a helping hand here, as far as AIDA is concerned.

DDR4 is primed to scale to higher-than-ever speeds. One by-product of such scaling is weaker latencies, as shown by the graph above. The intrinsic speed is not enough to mitigate the CL15 clocks.
