The 3.20GHz X4 955 BE does well against the Core 2 Quads, clocked in at 2.83GHz and 3.0GHz for the Q9550 and Q9650, respectively, and its performance isn't a million miles away from Core i7.

Really, really load up 'em cores and AMD's best continues to eclipse the price-comparable Core 2 Quads. Core i7 remains unbowed. Indeed it's some 29 per cent faster than anything else.
