The front of the Antec Fusion features an integrated VFD and stealthed DVD bay on the left along with a volume control dial, reset and power button on the right, the latter of which is lit with a white LED ring surrounding the button itself.

In all honesty the front is only spoilt by the way the USB, FireWire and Audio ports are mounted, aesthetically the Antec Fusion would have been much improved had these ports been mounted to the side or placed behind a cover.

The VFD itself is a 2 x 20 character model, featuring a blue on black display, the driver for which is shipped on a CD in the manual. Below this is a stealthed 5.25” bay, good for the overall aesthetics and more to the point it also removes the need for specifically buying a silver optical drive.

The Antec Fusion features a solid 5mm front panel of brushed aluminum which is finished to a high standard and etched in the top right is an understated Antec logo.

Unlike many of the new chassis’s on the market at the moment Antec has decided to avoid using the, now common, auto paint style finish, instead the Antec Fusion features a deep matte black colour which is far from smooth close up.
