Upgrade editions are a little cheaper for both Home Premium and Professional, with PC World leading the way. Again, stock of the upgrade editions is shown as plentiful.
Windows 7 will be bundled with the majority of shipping PCs from now onwards, but if you need to purchase an edition, most likely Home Premium, there should be no problem in procuring one today.
Prices are close enough for delivery costs to influence the decision one way or another. A few etailers provide free delivery, notably Scan for HEXUS.community members, so bear the overall cost - product and postage - into account.
Students
Students can benefit from keener pricing on Windows 7 Home and Professional editions for just £30 from the Microsoft store. You will need a valid .ac.uk email address or be part of the education institutions listed here.
