Leading supplier of IT products and services recognises green IT opportunity with Powerwise, helping businesses to drive down energy bills and carbon emissions
LONDON - 27th July 2009 - UK desktop management company Modus Interactive (www.modus-interactive.co.uk) is delighted to announce a partnership agreement with leading IT solutions provider Misco, a division of Systemax Europe Limited (www.misco.co.uk). Misco will be promoting and selling the award winning Powerwise software to an extensive customer base including education and SME. Powerwise 2009, featuring Adaptive wakeup, is a simple to install, power saving solution which manages network PC power usage and reduces carbon emissions, helping businesses to halve their energy costs. The small business range of Powerwise solutions will be launched as 10, 25, 50 and 100 PC versions.
The appointment of Misco is part of Modus Interactive's ongoing expansion program in order to further establish the Powerwise brand in the marketplace. Misco will roll out a comprehensive sales and marketing program, including focus from its field sales team that will further bolster awareness and drive and ongoing brand and product positioning. A tactical mixture of business, trade and technical PR will be deployed by Modus Interactive in order to showcase the product features and benefits to the maximum. Editorial column inches and technical product reviews in the media will further bolster the product USPs and help drive sales leads to Misco.

The Powerwise Management Console can be run from anywhere on the network. It provides both the configuration for the power saving settings (Powerwise Profiles), as well as allowing the administrator to see in real-time the power state of any computer and its devices. For as little as £7.50 per PC, Powerwise can save businesses over £30 per year, per PC. With 500 PCs, a business could be cutting up to £15,000 off their electricity costs annually, whilst reducing their emissions by up to 75,000Kg CO2 per year.
