Benchmarking a further three games arrives at the same truth, that is, the Sapphire Radeon RX 580+ is more than competent if running at the ubiquitous FHD resolution. Upping the resolution a notch still enables it to play the latest games with eye candy turned on, but giving that extra punch is the RX Vega 56 Pulse, where Sapphire's custom interpretation is always faster than the reference - it averages a 1,416MHz core speed against the reference's 1,250MHz.

It's not just about sheer speed, either, as noise and thermals are improved when choosing custom cooled over reference. Testing shows the Sapphire RX Vega 56 Pulse peaked at 71°C and had a 41.1dB noise profile, comparing favourably against the reference 76°C and 45.9dB.
