Juiced – PC

A game about refreshing fruit drinks? Oh, it’s another ‘street’ racer… Nick Haywood gets behind the wheel and pulls a donut

You know, it’s something short of a miracle that Juiced has even made it to our screens with the chequered history it’s had so far. Originally in development with Acclaim, when they went under THQ took it on but this caused considerable delays… so much so that it was starting to look like Juiced was the Duke Nukem Forever of driving games, but fret no more, Juiced is here, revved up and ready to roll.

Of late there’s been a rash of racing games, mainly for the consoles, and each one has something to recommend it. No-one can deny that Juiced is a tad late for the start line, even on the PC, with Need For Speed: Underground 2 already a couple of laps ahead. Does Juiced have what it takes to catch up and pass this well established racer and take the chequered flag or is it destined to be the Lada Riva of racers and chug back into the pits?
