The news

Monitor-maker AG Neovo is now aboard the digital-photo-frame bandwagon, offering a 7in model, the V-10 FotoVivo (SRP £150 inc VAT), featuring an 800 x 480 display and reckoned to be especially easy to use.

A calendar and clock are paired with a built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery (1800mAh) to allow for automated timer-controlled picture displays.

Touch-action, button-less controls are located around the trim of the picture frame - which looks wide in typical AG Neovo style - and are said to make it simple to upload, store and display JPEG digital photos shot at resolutions up to 8,000 x 8,000 pixels.

There's 128MByte of integrated flash memory, plus a slot that accommodates five types of memory card (SD/MMC/MS/CF/MD). A mini USB port is also fitted to allow two-way image-swapping with a PC.
