It's hard to find words to properly describe Tom Ballhatchet's hamster-powered paper-shredder but we'll have a go!
A couple of things just have to be said. For a start, the gadget is environmentally-friendly. Especially if you're a hamster.
The animal can create its own bedding and nesting material as it needs it, simply by going for a jog in its running wheel.
Whether the critter will ever figure out cause and effect, though, is quite another matter.
Then there's the fact that, once a hamster has done what hamsters do in shredded paper, an identity thief is going to find it even harder than normal to put the bits back together again - soggy, stained and even further shredded as they will be.

Oh, and apparently, the shredder and a whole bunch of other crafty design concepts dreamed up by graduating students from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design will be on display next week (April 18-23) in Milan on the college's stand (A15) at the Salone Del Mobile furniture show.
Oh (2) and thanks to the Core77 Design Blog for the heads-up.
