Walt Disney has teamed up with YouTube in a collaboration that will deliver a host of family-friendly entertainment to the popular video channel.

Though the finer details of the deal have not been disclosed, The New York Times reports that Disney plans to spend $10 million to $15 million on original video content for YouTube, but will also feature popular Disney content from the past and mobile games such as "Where's my Water?"

The new content will appear on a co-branded channel on both YouTube.com and Disney.com as the Mickey Mouse creator tries to increase brand awareness following a downturn in traffic to Disney.com where figures have dropped from 17.9 million to 12.7 million in the space of three months (June-September.)

The news of the partnership comes just days after YouTube announced that dozens of new channels will be launched starting next month in collaboration with some top brands and famous people, including Madonna, Ashton Kutcher, The Onion and WWE.
