PRESS RELEASE

Munich, August 2, 2012. TGT announces today the introduction of three brand new mobile chargers, so called Midas Force PowerPacksTM featuring 3.000 mAh at a recommended retail price of € 39, 5.200 mAh at € 49, and 12.000 mAh at € 99.

The market of portable devices such as SmartPhones, Tablet PCs, GPS, game consoles, etc. recharged through a USB compliant connector, or compliant converter plug (Apple, Nokia, Samsung) is rapidly growing. The operating time of such devices is limited by the capacity of the built-in battery. In order to avoid "running out of battery" where ever the user is located, a mobile charging solution is required. However, there are huge differences between the quality of the battery cells itself and between the built in electronic. Battery cells differ e.g. in capacity per weight, heat dissipation, leakage and life time (charging cycles). The life time of low cost batteries is around 200 cycles; they have high leakage; they are getting hot and may even explode.

A Midas Force PowerPackTM is of uncompromising electronic design. We are only using the highest quality battery cells, so called "Japanese cells" which are also used by leading manufacturers of SmartPhones and Tablet PCs. A Midas Force PowerPackTM is of lower weight, smaller size, higher capacity and offers a life time of over 500 cycles. Due to the fact that a Midas Force PowerPackTM can hold the charge for over a year, the life time of the battery cells is not used up by high leakages requiring unnecessary recharging.

The capacity of Powerpacks is rated in mAh (milli Ampère hours). In order to recharge a SmartPhone approximately 1.500 mAh are required. This suggests, that mobile charger should offer a minimum of 3.000 mAh. In order to recharge a tablet like Apple iPAD2 around 5.000 mAh become necessary and for an iPAD3 12.000 mAh have to be made available.
