Samsung unveils new Smart TV content at IFA 2014

Popular games and services to be released on Samsung Smart TVs include ‘Need for Speed Most Wanted' and Skype video call services 

21st August 2014, London, UK - Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd, has today announced new Smart TV content that will be unveiled at IFA 2014 in Berlin, Europe's largest consumer electronics and home appliance trade show. Popular games and services being released for Samsung Smart TV include, ‘Need for Speed Most Wanted,' Skype video call services ‘Real Football 2014' and ‘Golf Star'.

All new games will be available to download from the Samsung's Smart TV hub on the dedicated Games Panel, which has been designed to provide an enriched and interactive entertainment experience for game fans. The hub can be controlled by multiple devices including Smart Control, a dedicated Samsung Gamepad, along with other Samsung Galaxy devices such as tablets and phones.

"It has never been easier for our customers to discover even more entertaining and easy-to-use content on their Samsung Smart TVs which is enhanced by the fantastic picture quality on Samsung's TV screens." 

New Smart TV content being released includes:

  • Skype - one of the first apps featured in the Smart TV app market, this updated version will now bring group video and full HD video calls to the Samsung Smart TV 2014 models with built-in cameras.
  • Need for Speed Most Wanted - published by EA, this is one of the most popular racing games on the market and boasts fast speed, crisp graphics and true-to-life scenarios.
  • Real Football 2014 - a football simulation game from Gameloft, featuring great graphics and animations, while offering users the ability to create, play and manage football players and teams.
  • Golf Star - a virtual reality golf experience from Com2us that features realistic graphics, techniques from golf pros and a simulation powered by real physics-based gameplay.
