Technology etailer Misco.co.uk announced the roll-out of its ‘Live Chat' facility over all of its products today. The idea is that you initiate an instant message (IM) chat with a sales assistant when looking at a product to answer your queries about the product.
Misco has invested in this as part of a customer service drive that has been underway since US parent company Systemax imposed a complete restructure four years ago.
One of the aims of this restructure was to make Misco.co.uk a bit more ‘customer focused' like sister site TigerDirect in the US, according to Misco PR manager Vania Vincer.
According to Vincer, initiatives like this and the video previews offered on some products are the eventual fruition of that overhaul. Rome wasn't built in a day, it seems.
Other recent news includes Misco's appointment as an approved supplier for the government's Home Access programme, which we reported on from BETT 2009 and is intended to improve access to the Internet for low income families.
