Notebook market
Specifically in the ever more important notebook market the picture is much as in the total market, with Intel and AMD/ATI taking share from NVIDIA, but that might be about to change with the launch of NVIDIA's 9400M chipset.
Regarding the next quarter, Peddie noted that AMD and Nvidia are not expected to release any more new GPUs given the large number of introductions in the last three quarters and that Intel and AMD have stabilised on their integrated offerings.
Peddie added that he expects Q4 to be flat compared to Q3 due to the effect the economic slowdown is having on business and consumer spending plans.
