A-DATA, Kingston, Patriot and Corsair are among those who've already announced dual-channel DDR3 memory optimised for Intel's upcoming P55 chipset, and joining the list today is California's OCZ Technology Group.

OCZ's solutions - tailored for Intel's Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors, packaged as LGA 1156 - arrive as part of its Platinum and Gold series memory kits. Available in 4GB (2x2GB) capacities, the dual-channel DDR3 kits feature speeds ranging from 1,333MHz to 1,866MHz. OCZ's range topping kit, the DDR3 PC3-15000 Platinum Low Voltage Dual Channel (pictured), operates at 1,866MHz with latencies of 9-9-9-27.

The kits are certified to operate at 1.65V, of course, and they're equipped with propriety XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) heatspreaders and a lifetime warranty. OCZ reckons its memory, together with the P55 chipset, makes for "the premium option for midrange desktops".

Expect the modules, together with pricing, to become available in the coming weeks. OCZ's complete range of Platinum and Gold series kits is listed below.

OCZ DDR3 PC3-15000 Platinum Low Voltage (2x2GB) 9-9-9-27 @ 1.65V

OCZ should just release the OCZ Blade Series 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-16000 Triple Channel (OCZ3B2000C9LV6GK) in 2x2GB modules considering their only around <Ā£100> for 3 sticks anyway.
