We've already seen A-DATA, Kingston and Corsair announce memory modules for Intel's upcoming P55 chipset, but the folks at Patriot are going all out - they're launching an entire new series dubbed Sector 5.

The Sector 5 modules, aimed at the enthusiast or gaming audience, will ship in two unique flavours; the "extreme" latency Viper Series and the "enhanced" latency G Series.

The top-end Viper modules will be available in 4GB dual-channel kits with speeds ranging from 2,000MHz to 1,333MHz. Although Patriot is touting extreme latencies, it isn't yet providing numbers.

The G Series modules, meanwhile, will be available in 4GB dual-channel kits clocked at 1,600MHz or 1,333MHz with higher latencies.

There's no word on pricing, but with Intel's P55 around the corner - along with all-new Lynnfield-based Core i5 and Core i7 processors - it won't be long before we see these at retail. A selection of Patriot's kits will be bundled with a copy of the Futuremark 3DMark Vantage benchmarking software, and Patriot's entire Sector 5 range breaks down as follows:
