Few would argue that Dell's Alienware M11x notebook is lacking power, but if the 11in system's ageing 1.3GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor is giving you doubts, you're in luck.
In an interview with shufflegazine.com, Dell's Pearce Clune - head of consumer operations for Middle East, Africa, and Turkey - revealed that said notebook will soon be offered with a choice of ultra-low-voltage 32nm Westmere-derived processors.
"Next month, we'll be taking the ULV Core i3, i5 and i7 processors in this machine," said Clune whilst touting the performance of the ultra-mobile powerhouse.
We can't recall ever seeing a Core i7 processor in an 11in notebook. Add to that up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, a choice of SSDs and both an IGP and an NVIDIA GeForce GT 335M GPU, and you're on your way to having the most powerful 11in system in town.
There's no mention of what the Core i3, i5 or i7 chips will do to both pricing and battery life, but all signs point to a Computex 2010 unveiling.
