The ATI Mobility Radeon X800 XT graphics card features 16 pixel pipelines, an industry first for notebooks and has been designed for high-end users who need to be mobile and want to play the most visually intensive games.
In addition, the Xtreme 64 will support AMD’s FX55 or dual core Athlon 64 X2 processors allowing the user to choose either when they buy. This will ensure optimal performance for their primary use; graphics intensive multiple applications or the latest games. This combination is a unique proposition to rockdirect customers as rockdirect is the first to offer this specification in a portable computer.
Nick Boardman, Managing Director of rockdirect said: “We have aimed to deliver a notebook that pushes the mobile PC’s performance to the limit and allows the user to experience performance only previously available in bulky desktops”.
He continues: “rockdirect is a UK specialist manufacturer in the market of manufacturing high quality notebooks. We may not be as large as Dell but this has been our business for over 14 years, and we have built great relationships with suppliers such as ATI and AMD which has enabled us to be the first to ship new technology to our customers as soon as it is released to the market”.
The Xtreme 64 is much more than an update of the award winning Xtreme Ti chassis, it combines all the right ingredients, ATI Mobility Radeon X800 XT graphics, AMD FX55 or dual core Athlon 64 X2 processor and Windows XP Professional x64 edition to provide a gaming, computing and multimedia experience that maximises the benefits of 64bit computing.
