AMD's apparently turning its hand to offering unlocked APUs, with two SKUs in the pipeline for Q4.

The A8-3870K (running at 3.0GHz), and the A8-3670K (running at 2.7GHz) are 4-core flavours, with integrated Radeon HD graphics capabilities. The A8-3870K will feature 400 stream processors - and graphics speeds of 600MHz - whilst the A8-3670K, will offer graphics speeds of 444MHz and a total of 320 steam processors.

The 100W 'K' APUs, with their unlocked multiplier, are aimed at overclockers and neither are said to support the manufacturer's Turbo Core technology.
