Remember the MSI Wind Top AE2220 that first made an appearance in back in 2009? Well, it has now made its way to UK shores, and it's officially known as the Wind Top AE2220 Hi-Fi all-in-one PC.

Where does the Hi-Fi element come into it? Well, according to MSI, it's to down the strengthened SRS virtual sound technology and MSI's proprietary Premium Sound Technology.

The Taiwanese manufacturer reckons that the aforementioned, combined with the AE2220's duo of "full-range 5W hi-fi speakers mounted through an acoustic suspension system and a magnesium-aluminium alloy membrane", makes for an audio experience that "compares favourably to other high-end audio systems".

We wouldn't go as far as to say it's time to throw out your Bowers & Wilkins set, but the all-in-one PC might just manage to keep your earbuds satisfied without the need for additional speakers.

Fortunately, if you're a little sceptic about the audio claims - and we can understand your apprehension - you're not likely to be disappointed by the AE2220's computing credentials. Inside the sleek-looking all-in-one system resides a 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T6600 processor and 4GB of DDR2 memory, all sitting atop of NVIDIA's ION chipset, which of course brings a GeForce 9-series IGP to the party, too.

All that should combine to bring the best out of the multi-touch 21.5in, 1,920x1,080 full-HD display, and your fingers will be treated to the most touch-friendly release of Windows to date, Windows 7. There's plenty to round off the complete user experience, too - including 640GB of hard-disk storage, Wireless N and Ethernet connectivity, HDMI or VGA input for hooking up your other sources, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, a six-in-one card reader, a built-in IR receiver for the bundled MCE remote, a wireless keyboard and mouse, and options for a Blu-ray drive and TV tuner.

Sounds like a perfect fit for a media-centric kitchen PC, we reckon, and the starting price of Ā£799.99 seems decent for a multi-touch all-in-one.
