Here’s looking at you kid…

The K800i improves on the K750i’s camera - the new 3.2mp model packs an impressive punch and, as a result of its quality, ushers in the CyberShot brand on the Sony Ericsson range. The flash has also been improved over the K750i, using al Xenon flash from Sony’s range of digital cameras.

There are many cool features on the K800i we didn’t get the time to play with, but with a gleeful smile, our contact at Sony Ericsson offered us a demo of the new BestPic feature. Basically, the way it works is that you press the button as if you were taking a normal picture but nine full quality 3.2 megapixel pictures are taken in quick succession - four before and four after the actual image you captured.

All nine are shown as icons on the display - simply scroll backwards and forwards and save the ones you like best - the others are dispose of as you exit the gallery.

Of course there is always the argument that you need to have a cable, card reader or Bluetooth dongle to get your photos off your phone but with the K800i they have done something a bit special…
