In a rough-and-ready assessment of the card's bang per buck, we've aggregated the average 1280x1024 4xAA 8xAF framerates for the three games and listed the cards' price. There are more provisos than I care to shake a stick at. We could have chosen three different games, the cards' prices could have been derived from other sources and pricing is such that it can fluctuate daily. However, to reiterate, the graph below highlights a metric that should only be used as a yardstick for evaluating comparative performance with price factored in. Other architectural benefits, such as the NX8600GTS's DirectX 10 support, are not considered.

Due to the fact it's the highest priced card in the test and produced a mediocre performance throughout our benchmark suite, the MSI NX8600GTS-TD256E-HD-OC comes out bottom of the HEXUS bang4buck index today.

However, at the time of writing, this card was not available for retail purchase (pre-NDA), so the price provided to us is MSI's Suggested Retail Price and may not be entirely representative of the actual price at launch.

Overall, the Inno3D iChill 7900GS wins the test by a comfortable margin.
