Lost Planet: Extreme Condition

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition provides a linear increase in performance as a second GPU is added, reinforcing the Radeon HD 4870 X2 as single-board champion. Note how much faster it is than the also-ran 3870 X2 - some 81 per cent at 2,560x1,600.

Summary

Notwithstanding Crysis, the Radeon HD 4870 X2 becomes the fastest single-board graphics card around, handily beating out a GeForce GTX 280 when the resolution and image quality levels are raised to high levels. More brute shading strength and staggering bandwidth combine to match two-card Radeon HD 4870 performance in practically all tests.
