Need a new heatsink or fan for your ageing Radeon?

Ever wondered where to get replacement OEM fans for your graphics card? Got something a bit old and the fan's died or dying, and you don't want to replace it with a third-party cooler? Maybe you're a freak that collects old VGA boards like me, and some of them need some TLC?

While I can't point you to a single place that stocks replacement original equipment fans for all boards, I do know of somewhere that'll do them for recent ATI Radeons here in the UK. If you read our S3 Graphics Chrome S27 piece last week, you'll have seen reference to a company in the UK called EConline.co.uk.

And if you look closely at EConline's site -- specifically the VGA FAN section -- you'll see they sell the OE fans for almost all Radeon 9xxx, X8xx and some X-series Radeons too. Just the ticket to give your hardware a new lease of life, should the current fan on your Radeon be giving up the ghost.

Word on the street says they'll probably offer up the coolers for X1K-series parts at some point in the future, too. And that's not all, dear reader. They also offer up all the other VGA board accessories you get with Radeons, including All-In-Wonder, so if some cabling is on the cards, EConline can do that too.

£15 for the X800 / 9800XT coolers ?
A Zalman can be had for under 20 quid !
Other coolers such as “Artic cooling” come in even cheaper.

Unless you *need* an OEM replacement, id put the money towards a 3rd party one :)
And why would you want to put an OEM part. The only thing stopping me from putting a decent cooling system on my 9800 is that I don't want to mess with the cooler. If you have to spend money and deal with the replacement why would you go OEM.
Well for RMA of course ;)

Naww, just a regular, random typo..
