Pop along to PowerColor's stand at CeBit and you'll see their Theater 650 PRO tuner product on display. 650 PRO adds a number of extra features on top of 550 PRO's impressive set, but the most impressive is the ability to work with DVB-T and ATSC digital broadcast formats.

PowerColor's board sports a silicon DVB-T tuner (highly likely a Microtune MT2121F, like recent All-In-Wonders) for the 650 PRO ASIC to play with, and compared to 550 PRO products the 650 PRO supports SECAM, implements a hardware accelerated motion adaptive 3D comb filter, multi-stage gain control, fine colour control, egde enhancement filtering and hardware cadence detection.

The chip also supports digital rights management for its use in the next generation of content-protected media platforms.

PowerColor's board sports a PCI Conventional interface, but like 550 PRO, 650 PRO has a PCI Express 1x interface built in to the chip, so expect to see PCIe versions in due course. Look out for a review on HEXUS when we nab one.
