Introduction

CORSAIR HYDROCOOL 200 WATERCOOLING KIT

Memory to watercooling. You bet ?

Watercooling has a lot going for it. That's especially true of late, because a number of companies have come forward with simple, easy-to-use, all-in-one units. Before the arrival of these kits, users who wanted to delve into watercooling needed to be versed in the basics at the very least. We reviewed Asetek's Waterchill watercooling system a couple of months ago and found it to be a decent kit, both from building and performance points of view.

Now it's the turn of someone you'd least expect to manufacture and distribute anything to do with water. Corsair, yep, the system memory people, have sought to diversify their core activities. You can't diversify much more than going from system RAM manufacture to watercooling, yet this is exactly what they've done.

Watercooling is usually the sum of a number of individual parts which include, amongst additional add-ons, a reservoir, pump, fan, radiator and a CPU block. These parts can be mixed and matched from various manufacturers to make a kit. Corsair make it all simply by integrating all put the block into a SFF-like cube.

Sounds intriguing, doesn't it ?. Let's examine the Hydrocool 200.
