Introduction

COOLER MASTER ATCS 110B-SX1 CASE

A case is a case is a case, or is it ?. Some may view a PC's chassis as a necessary, boring box that contains all the goodies required for any modern computer to function. In the main, that's probably a fairly accurate assumption. There are those, however, who view the chassis as more than a rudimentary housing instrument. Whilst the innards of computers have seen a quantum leap in performance over the last few years, the beige box has remained largely intact from the '80s.

Whether we like to admit it or not, aesthetics play a large part in our lives. If something looks good, we're automatically attracted to it. Perhaps with a view of enticing buyers who value looks, or simply to lessen the physical burden of lugging a large steel case around, a number of companies have decided to incorporate sexy, stylish, aluminium-based cases in their respective ranges.

For those in the know, Cooler Master are considered to be one the finest exponents of aluminium cases. Their vast range, segregated on the basis of cost and design, have wooed many a buyer with their stylish looks and practicality. We've reviewed a number of Cooler Master aluminium offerings here at Hexus. However, one case remained elusive until now. Widely considered to be the pinnacle of CM's desktop range (please, no arguments :)), the CM 110B-SX1 is the case that's caused more than its fair share of drooling.

What makes this case so sought-after ?. Let's dish the dirt on it.
