SOYO SY-P4I 845PE Motherboard
We've seen a number of motherboard manufacturers try their hand at producing motherboards based on all the popular chipsets. Whilst not being one of the biggest producers, SOYO have impressed us with their deluxe approach to design. Their motherboards have eschewed the generic feel of most with novel implementation and individuality.
Their DRAGON series have been their premium line for some time now. The problem with those boards is purely cost. Whilst being individual you cannot expect to charge £160+ when others offer fully featured motherboards for £125 or so. SOYO have decided to trim down some of the individual features of the DRAGON series and produce a motherboard with a more palatable price tag.
The rather uninspiringly titled SY-P4I 845PE is SOYO's interpretation of what makes a decent Intel-based motherboard. Based on the DDR333-compatible chipset and supporting the much-vaunted Hyper-Threading technology that's currently enabled in the 3.06Hz P4, this SOYO should appeal to a wide cross section of potential buyers.
