According to a report on Reuters today , Sony is slashing the price of the PSPgo in the U.S. at the end of the month and in Japan starting from tomorrow, October 26, 2010.

The PSP Go currently retails for $249 in the U.S. but come the end of October will be made available for $199. In Japan there’s a huge price drop, with Sony selling the hand-held for $211, $124 cheaper than the price if you were to buy it today.

PSPgo launched in October 2009, but poor sales and lack of consumer interest, has spurred the price cuts. There’s currently no indication whether the price cut will also hit European shores, but it seems very likely.
