Sony has issued a questionnaire to the Asian-based customers of the Playstation Store asking them about their gaming habits. One of those questions suggests that Sony is looking into a subscription based service for the online store where they may introduce "one price for unlimited downloads" of PSOne and PSP games.

At the moment the UK Playstation Store is like visiting Old Mother Hubbard's cupboard, there just isn't enough content available as yet to warrant us paying a subscription. However, the service is picking up speed and the Playstation Asia store has plenty of offerings, including dozens of Playstation One classics and PSP titles.

A subscription based service doesn't sound a bad idea in principal, as long as the pricing is fair and Sony consistently dishes out some decent content to make it worthwhile.
