Konami has confirmed that Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 will be getting the 3D treatment on the Nintendo 3DS this Spring.

An active ‘Player’ camera centers on the user’s every movement, dynamically following the action and the camera views on the 3DS allow the user to visually ascertain how far away other teammates are thus enabling more instinctive long passes and dynamic movement.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 for 3DS uses the UEFA Champions League option by allowing users to partake in the game’s greatest club competition, while the legendary Master League invites players to build a team from scratch and help them dominate both at the club, and on a global levels. Players can select one of 60 National and 170 club sides and lead them to glory within a range of challenging tournaments and leagues. The game’s AI also ensures that players not only look identical to their real-life counterparts, but move and react like them too.

The series’ first 3D venture also utilises the advanced technology in ‘Street Pass’ Mode, where Master League team data will be compared with another player when the handheld senses another 3DS user. A winner is determined once the data is compared. Reaching specific targets will also unlock new players and teams for use in the main game.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 will also be available for PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PSP, PlayStation 2 and PC. A release date has yet to be announced.
