HEXUS.net in shock Fatal1ty shoot out!
HEXUS.net proved its worth today when Dan Pass aka Shorty faced up to Fatal1ty and took one for the team.Fatal1ty was taking on all-comers in a Doom 3 one on one and Shorty faithfully rose to the challenge. Unfazed by Fatal1ty's un-beaten run with nor one frag being taken off him, Shorty settled into the challengers crown with a quiet confidence that clearly un-nerved the current World Champion.
After a brief warm up, during which Shorty had to be shown the controls, the match was on with the first to 6 frags as the target. The grand prize of one thousand pounds was at stake for anyone who could take Fatal1ty down.
Two minutes later it was all over and despite Team HEXUS' best efforts to distract the world champion, Shorty lost 6-0. However, that isn't as bad as it first seems as I'm pretty sure I saw Fatal1ty break a sweat as he club Shorty out of the game with his flashlight.
By the end of the fragfest a large crowd had gathered, awed by Fatal1ty's domination of the map, but rooting for the underdog in true British fashion. Fatal1ty walked away with his crown still firmly on his head and Shorty recieved a well deserved round of applause for lasting long enough for his chair to get warm.
