Gaming performance

Our trio of IGPs all suffer compatibility issues with our benchmark suite.

The 690G-based Sapphire PI-AM2RS690MHD fails to load Quake 4 v1.30, crashing to the desktop because of an "Error during initialization", seemingly from the drivers misreporting its Shader Model capabilities. Version 1.04 does run correctly but does not produce comparable results.

The GMA 3100 on the Foxconn G33M-S, on the other hand, fails to run Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. We note that it didn't run on the G965 board, and further note that Intel hasn't updated its integrated chipset game-compatibility page for almost a year!

The only one of our test games that both platforms are able run correctly, Far Cry, has the 690G-based Sapphire well ahead but neither is what you'd call a competent gaming solution.
