Press Release

Specially engineered enthusiast products, HDMI solutions, and first DX10 integrated graphics solution will be key highlights

Beijing, China, May 14th 2007 – Foxconn today announced their presence at the Computex show, taking place in Taipei (Taiwan) 5th-9th June, with a large booth in TWTC Hall 2, stand number E133, 136, 171 & 174.

Along with strong sales growth in Vietnam, India and Indonesia, Foxconn have been strengthening their channel in Taiwan, with new dealers across the island selling Foxconn branded products for the first time. “We now have good channel coverage across Taiwan, and will be looking to continue building our channel and engaging with Taiwan and APAC customers during Computex” commented Cindy Sun, Foxconn APAC Sales Manager.

As the foremost IT trade show for components manufacturers, Computex is an ideal opportunity to meet with customers and media from across the world, according to Christin Wang, Global Marketing Manager; “We are delighted to be demonstrating our new product range to customers and media who will be visiting Computex from all our key sales regions”.

Among the products on display will be a new range of motherboards based on the Intel® 3 Series chipset family; these “Core3 Series” motherboards focus on reliability, ease of use and wider connectivity options for the mainstream performance segment, and include one of the first DirectX 10 capable integrated graphics solutions.

HDMI ready solutions and brand new extreme performance motherboards for both Intel and AMD platforms will also be debuting at the show. These high-end solutions have been specially engineered for gamers and enthusiasts, and according to Aaron Chang, Foxconn Motherboard Product Manager, these motherboards will introduce “several innovations for multimedia and enthusiast users”.

With exact product details not to be revealed until the show, Chang commented that for Foxconn, Computex 2007 “was more important than ever” as a launch platform for new motherboards, and “the place to demonstrate differing product segments for enthusiasts, business and home users”.

Latest graphics card solutions

Foxconn’s growing graphics card business now includes the latest NVIDIA® 8600 and 8500 solutions, and with Foxconn’s unique cooling solution, users can enjoy increased performance from these mid-range solutions.

Factory “overclocked” versions of the 8600GTS and 8600GT are already on the market, with 700/2200MHz and 560/560MHz (Core/Memory clock) speeds.

All graphics card products are subject to Foxconn’s strict in-house testing and state-of-the-art manufacturing capability, which ensures top-notch quality, excellent performance and long-term reliability for even the most demanding gamers worldwide.

New cooling solutions for the multi-core era

With multi-core processors now in the mainstream, Foxconn will be introducing several new cooler products at Computex 2007, including heatpipe and fin stack solutions. These products are designed to increase both the capacity and speed of heat dissipation from the chassis.

Expanding chassis range

With an ever-expanding chassis range, Foxconn will be showcasing new designs alongside existing models which have been firmly established in regional channels.

Among the new models will be chassis which can accommodate standard ATX motherboards, but with an overall chassis volume of little over 21litres – making an excellent choice for style-conscious users, or those who need to save valuable desk space.

Foxconn chassis solutions have been noted for their excellent value and quality, with most models including user friendly features such as slide-in/out motherboard trays, folded edges, slide & lock drive bays, and other tool-less features that makes system assembly quicker and easier for Foxconn’s customers and end users.

Channel development philosophy

In addition to displaying new product solutions, Foxconn will be using Computex as an opportunity to engage with customers throughout the APAC region and from key territories in EMEA and the Americas.

Commenting on the company’s channel strategy, Christin Wang, Global Marketing Manager, once again emphasized Foxconn’s approach to channel business; “As a channel solutions company, we have been listening carefully to the needs of our clients, and feeding that into our product development process. What you will see from Foxconn at Computex 2007 reflects this working philosophy; we will be demonstrating solid, honest products that demonstrate clear benefits, rather than gimmick-driven ‘solutions’ which are not necessarily of benefit for the channel.”

Foxconn’s booth is located in TWTC Hall 2, stand number E133, 136, 171 & 174.
