Scythe Miné - Introduction and Packaging

Introduction

The second Scythe cooler we looked at is the Miné (pronounced Mee-Nay) . This is one of a range of mainstream coolers from Scythe, so isn't in any way aimed at users who are into over-clocking.

It carries a 100mm fan sandwiched between two heat-sinks and has three heat-pipes feeding up through its fins. We'd expect it to be compact enough to fit in the majority of cases available today.

Packaging

The Miné underlines that Scythe has got packaging all sewn up. The rectangular box tells a selling story in words, images and logos and a clear plastic area running from the front over the top lets you see what you're buying.

Mounting components are stored in their own box underneath the cooler and a small cardboard square holds the block of the cooler in place.

Up top, a small cardboard collar is fitted to the heat-pipe caps to keep the cooler in place during transit. Overall, the packaging is simple, informative, effective and easy to access.
