Far Cry performance







We've established that the XFX GeForce 8600 GT XXX should offer around 15 per cent more performance than a default-clocked model. By specifically taking the XFX's £110 outlay into account and adding performance competitors that are priced similarly, Far Cry shows us that XXX's 128-bit memory bus hurts performance compared to DX9 cards featuring a double-wide 256-bit interface and, really, more pixel-pushing power.
