SAPPHIRE Set to Turn your Whole System TOXIC

HD 2900 XT TOXIC features Modular Watercooling

Building on the success of its TOXIC range of water cooled graphics solutions, industry leader SAPPHIRE Technology is set to launch its fastest graphics product yet – the exciting new SAPPHIRE HD 2900 XT TOXIC!

The SAPPHIRE HD2900 XT TOXIC features the latest unified shader architecture with 320 shaders, and the world’s first 512-bit memory bus delivering over 475 GigaFLOPS performance and 106 GB/sec memory bandwidth. Developed to natively support the latest applications using Microsoft DX 10™ and Shader model 4.0, for a whole new generation of performance, this series brings new meaning to the Windows Vista™ Premium Experience.

The SAPPHIRE HD 2900 XT series also incorporates the latest ATI Avivo™ HD Technology for enhanced Video display as well as hardware accelerated decoding of Blu-ray™ and HD DVD content. Two dual link DVI outputs are provided and the system is CrossFire™ Multi-GPU Ready. HDMI users are supported with another new feature that multi-channel 5.1 Audio is integrated on board with the graphics output to provide true audio and video output via an HDMI adapter for direct connection of an HDMI ready TV.

Offering enthusiasts a simplified path to a faster, quieter system, the new SAPPHIRE HD2900 XT TOXIC features a drive-bay mounted water cooling system with integrated reservoir, pump and radiator system, efficient enough to cool not just the graphics card, but optionally a CrossFire pair of SAPPHIRE HD 2900 XT cards, the system CPU or other components.  In the TOXIC edition, the standard SAPPHIRE HD 2900 XT Engine clocks of 750 MHz can be enhanced by over 15% and Memory speeds increased significantly above the standard 1650 MHz.

SAPPHIRE is already shipping standard editions of its HD2900 XT – and is expected to announce other family members in the coming weeks.

That looks like a very neat solution. Much better than the loops that take up 2 or even 3 extra PCI slots.
