OCZ expand their CPU cooling range again

After the recent release of the OCZ Vindicator cooler (which we have already put through the labs for our upcoming group test), we were surprised to see that OCZ have already prepared a second version.

The original Vindicator is a cooler of large proportions, so it’s a bit surprising to see the Vindicator 2 pushing the boundaries even further. From what we can tell the central part of the cooler remains unchanged but with the introduction of ‘winged’ heat sink fins the Vindicator 2 increase the width of the cooler by over a third compared to the first version.

Compatibility is expect to be the same on the Vindicator 2 as it was with the first version, with socket support for AMD 754, 939, 940, AM2 and Intel LGA775. As yet there is no release schedule for the Vindicator 2 but we will try and get more information for you as soon as possible.

now how good would that look on my nice new X2 :D Yum Yum

Would be good to see how the new style fins help with cooling, and if they are worth the extra pennies. Some stats and comparisons would be good to see in the future.
