Introduction

NVIDIA's venerable G71 SKU has been going strong for a while now. It's seen action as the GeForce 7900 GTX and coupled with a twin for some 7950 GX2 internal SLI loving, which was marketed as the fastest graphics card in town.

More goodness has been extracted in the form of the GeForce 7950 GT SKU, comprising of the original 24-pipeline part that was first debuted as the range-topping 7900 GTX, and, recently, NVIDIA's seemed fit to raise model nomenclature by requiring that all partners ship boards with HDCP support as standard.

Priced at around the £200 mark for retail models, GeForce 7950 GT 512MiB is a SKU that AIBs have had a pretty free rein with. Some have decided to pump up the reference core speed from 550MHz to 600MHz and beyond. Others have strapped on silent cooling, so, physically at least, 7950 GT makes for some interesting cards.

Inno3D sent us its sample a while back and the full title, Inno3D GeForce 7950 GT 512MiB Zalman Edition, kind of gives the differentiation game away. Let's take a closer look at Inno3D's effort, shall we?
