Thermal Performance

Thermaltake Aguila

At idle the Aguila produced fairly good temperatures considering the main chassis is steel based. Due to its fairly compact size, we have compared measurements with the Zalman Fatal1ty FC-ZE1 chassis we reviewed recently. The main reading to note on the idle temperatures is the internal case temperature, matching the Zalman's nicely.

Thermaltake Aguila

In keeping with the differences between the two at idle, the two chassis produced equivalent temperatures, with the CPU peaking at 62 degrees, hot, but not really unexpected considering the toasty Extreme Edition we had fitted.
Overall, then, the thermal performance wasn’t that much to write home about, but considering both the material and cost differences between the Aguila and the Zalman, the Aguila did perform better on a cost/performance ratio.
