From the front...

The one word that sticks in the brain cells when you first see the Stacker 830 in the flesh is ‘stealth’, especially in the black variant. The brushed aluminium exterior of the Stacker 830 is finished to a very high standard.

The front the Stacker 830 features a large meshed area embellished with the Cooler Master logo on the door with the main controls for the chassis on a panel above it.

Out of the box, Stacker 830’s door opens from left to right but can be swapped to open the other way by moving the hinges, which is a tool-less process that only takes a couple of minutes.

Just above the door we find the first set of external ports, FireWire, Headphone, Microphone and two USB.

Up top we have two more USB ports alongside the reset button and HDD activity light. The power button itself is ‘shield’ shaped and features the letters CM, backlit with a blue LED when in use.

Just behind the ports we find the front carry handle for the Stacker 830 – paired up with one round the back it allows the Stacker 830 to be easily transported should you need to.
