A new trailer entitled “Justice and Morality” has been released for the Sherlock Holmes Crimes & Punishments, detective investigation game series. The video demonstrates how players may experience different consequences depending on the line of enquiry they follow during the detecting process and the moral choices they must make once the clues are pieced together and the case is solved.

The game consists of seven separate cases for Holmes and Watson to investigate. In each case there are ten possible suspects. You, as the player, are the one to decide who in your opinion, is the true culprit. If you misread or even miss out some important clues you might end up putting an innocent behind bars. Another interesting aspect is that in some cases you might find that the 'guilty' person was justified in some way for their actions. Should you use your detective skills to help put these people behind bars?

As an example, the murder shown in the trailer was committed by a woman in self-defence. The decision is then up to the players whether they want to hand her over to the authorities and it is likely she will be put behind bars, or be guided by an alternative moral compass and let her go free. You will have to bear the responsibility of any decisions made and the repercussions that follow in the game, says the game developer.

"Seven crimes, your choices, their punishments". Frogware’s game is scheduled for release in Q2 2014 on platforms including PC, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4.

I know Sherlock had/has a drug problem, but I didn't realise he was schizophrenic too … "Sherlock and Holmes"?

Think you mean Holmes and Watson.
