We love NAS here at HEXUS, but what we don't like is slow NAS. Perhaps the latest product to enter the HEXUS.pipeline will sort that out for us?

The product we're about to embark on a testing mission with can hold some five SATA hard drives. That immediately makes it a candidate for an SME NAS appliance. However, we all know the hardcore digital home folks can easily generate enough data to make good use of such a device, and its price makes it a feasible choice for such a purpose.

Thecus N5200

We brought you a brief look at this product during CeBIT, while Thecus were still polishing off its design. With some decent processing power on board, could the Thecus N5200 deliver better performance than we've seen before from similar products?

We're going to be putting the N5200 through its paces shorlty, examining its software, features and performance. Better still, we'll be loading it up with some serious storage, to see whether or not it could be an HD digital home enthusiast's dream.

Watch this space for the review. Meanwhile, make sure you're signed up to the HEXUS.community, and then hit the HEXUS.pipelines forum for a couple more teaser photos.

And eSATA as well? :)
Apparently it's got an in-built antivirus package and it's also got a nice Pentium M in there as well.
Oh that looks so sweet, i really do hope the performance is much better than the 2050 i think, i was going to get one but it was just so poor :(
Looks lush to me :)
