MSI show off new dual-core Intel and AMD laptops

I'm a big fan of MSI's 12 inch laptop chassis, so to see it sporting Intel Core Duo and dual-core Turion (unannounced, ooh!) on Socket S1 makes my geek sense tingle.

The AMD version - S271 - sports dual-core Turion, 802.11g WiFi, GigE, Bluetooth and the same 12.1" screen as the S270. Me wants.

The Intel version sports Core Duo (Centrino Duo branding, of course), ATI graphics and the same 1280x800 12.1" LCD panel. Me also wants.

So while the MegaBooks aren't as sexy as an IBM X60, or a Sony SZ1VP (although that's 13.3"), they are massively cheaper for a similar basic hardware spec. Which is nice.

I need a smaller laptop than my current 15.4" thing, and it's a toss-up between a 12.1" MegaBook, an outrageous deal on an SZ1VP, or a 7-inch handheld like ECS are showing. Who knows. But the MegaBooks are on the shortlist, that's for sure.
