Indie games bundles are becoming more and more popular and the Humble Bundle is probably the bundling pioneer. You get a good selection of DRM-free indie games in a pay-what-you-want deal. Part of the price you pay goes to the developers and part goes to charity and it’s completely configurable by you, the buyer.

The new Humble Bundle for Android 4 will remain on offer for the next fortnight. The bundle includes the game Splice, Eufloria, Waking Mars, Crayon Physics Deluxe and Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP. If you pay more than the current average payment of $5.98 you will get a sixth game to accompany the above selection; a point and click adventure called Machinarium. There is also the option to get a Steam key for all the games except for Waking Mars.

Four of the games in the bundle are making their Android debut after being only available on iOS mobiles. Most notably Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP is included in the bundle even though the developers once stated that there would never be an Android port.

PC, Mac and Linux too

This bundle isn’t all about Android though. All the games are DRM-free and you can download them for your desktop PC/Mac/Linux box too if you wish. Here’s a device and desktop compatibility information page. The Humble Bundle team add the following note “this is the initial release for many of the Android and Linux versions of the games. Please be patient while the developers fix any 1.0 bugs as quickly as they can, and don't hesitate to contact us if you run into any issues!” So please keep that in mind.

The Humble Bundle for Android 4 has already sold 73,000 copies and raised $438,000 in less than a day. For comparison the Humble Bundle for Android 3 made less than double this amount in its 14 day stint, so this new bundle looks pretty hot. Since the start of the Humble Bundle, over $7.5 million has been donated to charity by game purchasers.
