Patriot Memory appears to be enjoying playing both sides of the fence. Having already partnered up with team red to produce AMD-branded memory, the manufacturer is now getting together with team blue to launch a range of Intel Extreme Masters Limited Edition DDR3 modules.

The new memory is aimed squarely at gamers and claims to take "full advantage of the performance capabilities of the newest 2nd and 3rd generation Intel Core processor family."

The marketing speaks for itself - if you're gaming on an Intel Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge machine, this memory has Chipzilla's royal seal of approval. And, as expected, that brings with it Intel XMP 1.3 certification and a range of high-speed frequencies.

At launch, the Intel Extreme Masters Limited Edition DDR3 memory kit will be available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities, at speeds of 1,600MHz, 1,866MHz or 2,133MHz. We've yet to see any mention of timings, but Patriot has revealed that each kit will run at the standard 1.5V and carry the Intel-branded Viper III heat shield pictured above.

The ideal match for your Intel rig? Perhaps, but there's no mention of pricing so it's too early to tell whether or not the Intel Extreme Masters branding will carry a significant premium.

They also make the AMD branded memory too.
Yup says so in the article, first line. :p
Makes as much difference as NVidia certified RAM. It's only a marketing gimmick.
Remeber the Nvidia OCZ ram launched a few years back, gimmick. However the ram looks good but I don't think it will clear a Noctua D14
We need Hexus branded memory!!

Punchline:

“Hexus memory - EXPANDS your horizons!!”
