A date has been put on the launch of Mac computers with 'Intel Inside'.

There's been a lot of hype since the rumours of Intel powered Macs turned into an official announcement. From there an x86 edition of OS X has surfaced... and has already been run on non-mac x86 hardware (although this might be harder to do come launch day, we expect it will be far from impossible.)

Taiwanese news site Digi Times cites Taiwan PC distributors as saying that on the 6th June, Apple will launch x86 powered iMacs. The launch date is for Taiwan, so it remains unclear as to where the rest of the world stands. Apple hasn't commented on the launch date, but Apple have previously said x86 iMacs would be shipped in June of 2006, with Mac Minis and iBooks to follow in 2007.

So, it's roughly 6 months until we see an 'Intel Inside' logo on a Macintosh?
