While Intel positions the i845G as a business oriented chipset, EPoX seem to be squarely aiming this board at the regular consumer and the enthusiast. While there might be a small chance of seeing this board in an OEM business system, based on the features and concessions towards the enthusiast, you are more likely to see this motherboard grace the system of an overclocker.

This might seem odd given the inclusion of an onboard graphics subsystem (check my DFI NB76 review here for a full discussion on i845G) all i845G boards to date have also featured an AGP slot for putting your favourite graphics card in and avoiding the frankly dismal performance of the integrated core.

So while EPoX do a similar board in the EP-4BEA+ that features i845E without the onboard graphics, the 4G4A+ is certainly a lot easier to find here in the UK and consenquently it's the board you are most likely to come across.

So having refreshed your memory on i845G with the DFI review, having struggled to find the 4BEA or 4BEA+ and being intrigued as to the enthusiasts features, lets take a closer look at the board.
