Nikon’s D4 is due to be revealed in full at the PMA@CES in Las Vegas next month, but a leaked specification sheet has given happy-snappers an early peak at what they can expect from the Japanese camera maker’s new top-end DSLR

The Nikon D4 will reportedly feature a 16.2 megapixel sensor, 11fps burst mode and the new Nikon WT-5 wireless transmitter. It will also support CompactFlash XQD memory cards, the newly-announced format based on the PCI Express specification, and will include an integrated Ethernet port.

Rumour has it that the native ISO will range from 100 to 102,400, expandable to 50 and 204,800. This would make the ISO range double that of the Canon 1D X, which has a maximum ISO of 51,200, and is said to be the D4's nearest rival.

The full list of leaked specifications (as revealed on NikonRumors.com) are as follows:

•        ISO range 100-102,400, expandable up to 50 and 204,800
•        Autofocus system: 9 cross-type sensors (operational up to f/8)
•        AF detection range will go down to EV-2.0 (the D3s went to EV -1)
•        Hybrid Viewfinder
•        Compatible with the new Nikon WT-5 wireless transmitter
•        Integrated Ethernet in the camera
•        Improved video mode, 1080p/30/25/24 and 720p/60/30/25/24 similar to the Nikon D800, Uncompressed video out through the HDMI port
•        Ability to assign the two buttons on the front of the camera to smooth aperture control during video recording
•        CF + XQD memory card slots

It's also rumoured that Nikon will use the trade show to launch the long-awaited D800, the 36 megapixel DSLR. PMA@CES kicks off on January 8, 2012.

Wow, where on earth did you get that monstrosity of a photoshopped D4?

That's just terrible. Please take it down. Bad enough that you're redistributing little more than gossip without employing hack like tactics over images. At least put a disclaimer somewhere.

Journalistic ethics anyone?
Since when does ripping an article off Nikon Rumours count as “news”?

Dunno lol but if we was to rip off news from those rumour sites then the 5dmk3 would have been released now lol

Agreed, and not for the first time. If Hexus is going to be taken seriously as a news site it needs to keep rumours and bad photoshop jobs to a clearly distinguished rumours section/title (you had beans before, right?), and keep it away from straight news.
